Which codes govern exit doors in attraction and show buildings?
NFPA 101 and the Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023) set egress requirements. Assembly spaces generally need doors that swing in the direction of egress when the room serves 50 or more occupants, and latching egress doors need panic or fire exit hardware at 50 or more occupants under the Florida Building Code (Section 1010.2.9) or 100 or more under NFPA 101's assembly occupancy chapter.
What is ASTM E330?
ASTM E330 is the standard test method for structural performance of exterior windows, doors, skylights and curtain walls under uniform static air pressure. It is one of the tests used to show that an exterior door assembly resists its design wind pressure.
How do you limit corrosion on steel doors in water park areas?
Common approaches include galvannealed or stainless steel doors and frames, factory-applied finishes, stainless steel hardware and fiberglass doors where the specification allows. Frame anchors and fasteners should also be corrosion resistant.
