Mills & Nebraska was founded in Orlando in 1933 and has more than 90 years of history in the Florida construction industry. Our relationship with Ceco Door dates to the mid-1940s, and we are the world's oldest and one of the largest Ceco distributors.

We serve Florida from two locations: our Orlando headquarters and our Lakeland location. Orders are delivered across Florida by our own delivery fleet, and we ship nationwide and to the Caribbean. Same-day stock is available on stocked items, and our Lakeland location offers same-day will-call or jobsite delivery.

We supply hollow metal doors (standard, fire-rated and hurricane-rated), wood doors (flush, stile and rail, and custom), fiberglass doors, and specialty doors such as acoustic and blast-resistant doors. Fire-rated doors are available with ratings from 20 minutes to 3 hours, and doors are specified to meet your project requirements.

Mills & Nebraska supplies fire-rated door assemblies at the common ratings: 20 minutes (corridor walls and smoke barriers), 45 minutes (most 1-hour fire barriers and fire partitions), 60 minutes (1-hour stair and shaft enclosures), 90 minutes (2-hour walls, stair and shaft enclosures) and 3 hours (3-hour and 4-hour fire walls and fire barriers). Assemblies use labeled doors and frames with listed hardware, and we provide Intertek certified labeling for fire and wind in-house.

Yes. Mills & Nebraska provides hurricane-rated, windstorm-resistant commercial door assemblies with Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) or Florida Product Approval documentation, including products tested to TAS 201, 202 and 203 for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone and to ASTM E1886 and E1996 elsewhere. We also provide in-house Intertek certified labeling for fire and wind.

We offer welded frames (fabricated in our Orlando facility), knockdown frames (common in renovation projects), security frames, and borrowed lite frames (for interior vision panels). Frames are available fire-rated (labeled for fire door assemblies) and windstorm-resistant (with Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade NOA) as part of a rated assembly.

We supply mechanical and electrified door hardware, including hinges (continuous, butt, pivot and spring), door closers (surface-mounted, concealed and floor closers), locksets (cylindrical, mortise and electronic), exit devices (rim, mortise and vertical rod), access control (electric strikes, electrified locks and mag locks), and weatherstripping. Manufacturers we work with include SARGENT, LCN, Von Duprin, Schlage, Corbin Russwin and HES.

Yes. Custom hollow metal frames are fabricated at our 36,000 sq ft Orlando facility to project sizes, profiles and hardware preparations. We also handle door modifications, reinforcements and hardware preparations for specialty requirements.

Our Division 10 specialties include toilet partitions (powder-coated steel, stainless steel, solid plastic HDPE and phenolic), toilet accessories (paper towel dispensers, soap dispensers, hand dryers, mirrors and grab bars), shower and dressing partitions, and lockers and benches. Mills & Nebraska is Intertek certified to label door assemblies for fire and wind in our own facility. Intertek is an independent testing and certification organization, and its program allows us to apply labels to qualifying fire-rated and windstorm-resistant openings in-house, so assemblies leave our facility labeled and documented.

We specify products to the requirements of the Florida Building Code, 8th Edition (2023), for each project, including the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) requirements in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. For wind-rated openings we provide the Florida Product Approval (FL#) or Miami-Dade NOA documentation needed for submittals.

We supply doors and hardware that meet the 2010 ADA Standards and the Florida Building Code, Accessibility, when specified and installed correctly: at least 32" clear width with the door open 90 degrees, no more than 5 lbf opening force on interior hinged doors (fire doors excepted), hardware operable with one hand without tight grasping, pinching or twisting, thresholds no higher than 1/2", and automatic operators where required. Our team can help you specify compliant products.

Yes, we supply acoustic door assemblies with STC (Sound Transmission Class) ratings for conference rooms, theaters, recording studios, medical facilities and other spaces that need sound isolation. The STC rating depends on the complete assembly, which includes the door, a frame with continuous seals, and an automatic door bottom.

Yes, we supply bullet-resistant door assemblies rated to UL 752 protection levels for schools, government buildings, courthouses, banks and other high-security applications. We can provide complete assemblies, including doors, frames and compatible hardware.

Yes. We can supply door assemblies tested for storm shelters and safe rooms designed to ICC 500 and FEMA P-361 criteria.
