What openings in distribution centers typically require

General requirements for this building type under the codes and standards that commonly apply. They are not a list of the products supplied on this project; each opening follows the project's drawings, hardware schedule and code review.

• Exit doors with panic or fire exit hardware where the occupancy classification and occupant load require it under the Florida Building Code.
• Fire-rated door assemblies per NFPA 80 in any fire walls or fire barriers, often with fusible-link or alarm-released automatic closing.
• Exterior personnel doors with Florida Product Approval for wind and, in wind-borne debris regions such as much of Palm Beach County, impact resistance. Palm Beach County is outside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone.
• Heavy-duty hollow metal doors and welded frames at dock and forklift areas, and access control at employee entries, return areas and high-value storage.
