Mills & Nebraska is a family-owned, WBENC-certified supplier of commercial doors, frames and architectural hardware based in Orlando, Florida. From a lumber company founded in 1933 to Florida's premier Division 8 supplier, we have been family-owned and operated for over 90 years, never losing sight of the craftsmanship and integrity that built our reputation.
Our Story
The story begins in 1933. In those early days, the company supplied building materials to a growing Central Florida region shaped by the growth of the 1920s.
In the mid 1940s, we became a Ceco Door distributor, a partnership that continues to this day and makes us the world's oldest and one of the largest Ceco distributors (see our manufacturer partners). In 1957, the company became the first in Central Florida to open a truss manufacturing plant, and it has kept adapting to the market ever since.
When Hurricane Andrew devastated South Florida in 1992, we responded by developing expertise in hurricane-rated assemblies. Today, we hold Intertek certification for in-house fire and wind labeling of doors and frames, and we keep an Architectural Hardware Consultant on staff.
In 2018, Mills & Nebraska achieved WBENC certification as a Women's Business Enterprise, reflecting our commitment to diversity and family-owned values. Today, we've grown from that corner location to a 36,000 square foot Orlando headquarters with wood and metal fabrication shops, plus a 4,800 square foot facility in Lakeland serving the Tampa Bay corridor.
