The National Association of Women In Construction (aka NAWIC) recently held their Greater Orlando Chapter Awards Banquet. This was an evening where they installed new Board members and presented awards to women movers and shakers in the construction industry. We were honored to earn 4 awards and recognition at their banquet! We felt like Sally Field at the Oscars.

Benjamin Franklin is quoted as saying, "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest." At Mills&Nebraska not only are we fans of good ol' Ben we also support our teams learning new things. Recently we had a hinge class. Yes, a hinge class! Our in house expert, John, conducted the class and introduced at least a dozen different types of hinges and each of their functions. Some hinges are heavy duty and you can feel it when picking them up. Others are lighter in weight and function.

Bridget Pulsifer, sole owner since 2011, is pleased about the opportunities and open doors this certification will bring to the company. The team at Mills & Nebraska, already active members of NAWIC (National Association of Women In Construction), are excited about this recognition. Central Florida Lumber and Supply Company, Inc. d/b/a Mills & Nebraska has been serving the Southeastern part of the country and its local Orlando community since 1933. This certification is another milestone in the company's 86 year history.
