NAWIC’s Southeast Region’s 14 Chapters held their annual Spring Forum Friday and Saturday in Orlando. It was a jam-packed event that included networking, speakers, panel discussion, business items, tacky tourists, awards, and more. Mills is honored to be a Sponsor for this event and for our local NAWIC Chapter.

Spring Forum is an opportunity to connect with other women in the industry, build each other up, and empower one another to be the driving force in our roles in construction. We are grateful for all the information and to all the speakers who gave of their time to pour into the women who were there.

The opportunities to grow included a Professional Development track or a Construction Education track. Some went to sessions in both tracks. Women learned about negotiations, reading blueprints, sales and marketing, competing for talent in a tight job market, minimizing financial risk, and maximizing construction planning with software. Did you know that because of Covid-19, compensation is up 30%? Did you know that, as a NAWIC member, you get discounts on goods and services like car rentals? We learned these tidbits and much more. There was also a Sponsors Expo with a plethora of helpful information for attendees.
